National strategy for promoting integrity and transparency

The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority is preparing the draft of the national strategy to enhance integrity and transparency, in the light of the Authority’s keenness to implement its mandate. In addition, it contributes to the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the achievements of the objectives of the Second National Development Strategy 2018 – 2022 with a view to achieve sustainable development.

In pursuit of complementarity and in order to benefit from all visions, ACTA in its development of the strategy draft takes an approach that focuses on cooperation and coordination with all the stakeholders in the state, which is represented in the National Team for the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).

ACTA is also keen to benefit from international best practices and experiences, in the light of its partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), as the United Nations body responsible for the follow-up to the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

The strategy aims at promoting the integrity and transparency of the state, thus, strengthening the systems of preserving public funds, promoting the quality of public services and improving the working environment and investment in the country. The strategy will enhance all legislative, institutional and awareness aspects of transparency and integrity in the country.
