The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority organizes a training program on conflict of interest
The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, in cooperation with the Qatar Finance and Business Academy, organized a training program entitled: “Conflict of Interest.” The program lasted for four hours a day, starting at 9 AM, during the period from 3 to 5 July 2022.
During the program, which targeted directors of legal affairs and human resources and their representatives in government agencies, the importance of adhering to integrity and preserving public money was addressed, as well as understanding cases of conflict or potential conflict of interest, as well as explaining the importance of disclosure and not covering up in the event of any conflict or the possibility of a conflict of interest, the training program also dealt with ways to disclose a conflict of interest.
This training program comes within the framework of the development plan pursued by the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority to enhance the capabilities of public officials, raise their efficiency and provide them with knowledge that advances their scientific and practical capabilities in the areas of integrity, transparency and prevention of corruption, which in turn contributes to building an important pillar in the Qatar National Vision 2030, represented in human development.
It is noteworthy that the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority has developed educational and training programs to raise awareness of state employees, train them to use advanced methods to detect corruption and prepare them to cooperate with the authority in this field.
The authority, in cooperation with national training centers and institutions, has also implemented training programs and courses in several areas, including: integrity and transparency, work ethics and job behavior, and promoting a culture of reporting violations and conflicts of interest.
