The Administrative Control & Transparency Authority Enhance the Bilateral Relations with the United Kingdom in the Fields of Integrity, Transparency and Combating Corruption

His Excellency  Mr. Hamad Bin Nasser Al Missned, the President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, met yesterday with His Excellency Mr. Ajay Sharma, the United Kingdom’ Ambassador to Qatar. The meeting discussed the mutual relations between the State of Qatar and the United Kingdom and its importance in promoting integrity, transparency and combating corruption.

His Excellency the President of the Authority congratulated the Ambassador of the United Kingdom on the United Kingdom’s advanced ranking in the world’s top 8 anti-corruption countries according to Transparency International’s Global Corruption Perceptions Index 2018.

During the meeting, they discussed the achievements of the Authority, its terms of reference, the future plans, areas of cooperation with the state agencies and the interest of the Authority to benefit from the UK experience in implementing the anti-corruption strategy.

The Ambassador expressed his full readiness to cooperate with the Authority and to provide it with anti-corruption and anti-bribery legislation in the United Kingdom.

The President of the Authority said that we look forward to enhance the cooperation between the two countries, taking into account the history of the Kingdom and its expertise in the field of combating corruption, through training courses and conferences, and benefiting from these experiences in this field.
