In cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health, the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority organized an awareness seminar on the occasion of the Sports day under the title “Nutrition and Sport and their impact on health” with the participation of a number of employees of the Authority and the Ministry of Justice.

The seminar opened with the assurance that the vision of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in the process of investing in human beings, makes the adoption of an annual sports day of the state a strategic process in building this human being and his health, which is one of the best priorities and the most important at all. The advancement and progress of any people or nation, must start with the human being, for he is the foundation and axis of development, and the leadership of the advancement of civilization in all its meanings and in all its fields without exception.

It was also stressed that the attention of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority on the Sports day comes from its belief in the importance of sport and to encourage the Qatari society in general and its members in particular, to take care of the sports aspect. For it is an important aspect that contributes to the formation of the psychological and physical stability of the individual.

It is worth noting that the Authority is proactive in taking advantage of opportunities that will contribute to enhancing and promoting positive principles and values ​​in society, in accordance with Qatar National Vision 2030, which is the cornerstone of human development, in which economic development takes place by creating a generation of healthy physically and psychologically.

On the other hand, the nutrition specialist at the Ministry of Public Health, Dana Sabri, discussed the health basics of eating. She also stressed the importance of sports and its impact on improving the health of the individual and gaining fitness and the prevention of some diseases. She also talked about the long-term benefits of sports, which is to strengthen the circulatory system, increase the size of muscle fiber, and reduce the incidence of geriatric diseases.

HE Hamad Bin Nasser Al Missned, President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, thanked the employees of the Ministry of Public Health for accepting the invitation and participating of the Sports National Day at the Authority, hoping for continued cooperation in various fields in the future.

The symposium was accompanied by the establishment of a health line for biometrics, guidance and health, food and sports advice by the specialists to attend the staff and employees of the Authority and the Ministry of Justice.
